What can't you bring into Russia?
The import of dairy and fish products from EU countries (up to 5 kilograms per person of finished products in FACTORY packaging), finished meat products made from beef and lamb (up to 5 kilograms per person of finished products of animal origin in FACTORY packaging) is permitted, with the exception of products produced/exported from Hungary and Slovakia.

If you're bringing new goods (in packaging, with labels), you're allowed to import a value of up to €500. Anything greater than that must be declared. Otherwise, you'll be charged a fine, detained for 2-6 hours at the border.

What do you need to cross the border?
In order to cross the border from Russia to Estonia, you will need: a residence permit in an EU country, citizenship of any EU country, as well as any country that has a visa-free regime with the EU, a US visa, a Schengen C visa in strictly defined cases, etc.

How long does the entire journey take?
The journey from Riga to the Luhamaa border check point takes approximately 3 hours. The journey from Shumilkino to Pskov takes approximately 50 minutes. Crossing the border on foot can take between 30 minutes and 2 hours, depending on how busy it is.
